Sur Design Lab, so-called “surDL”.

“sur-” means “over”, “above” or “ in addition”, originated in French. It is referable to “シュール (shu-lu)” in Japanglish to abbreviate surrealism or to suggest expressions or ideas to be extraordinary or surreal. The “シュール (shu-lu)” fits best for its intended meaning. For designing, hand-sketching is valued as well as digital tools, and interactions are inevitable with collaborators. Just like a lab in the good old days….it is named so to be a “Design Lab exceeding design territories”.
